Afterlives: Zeena and Martin broadcasts on BBC Radio 4 on 30th November, 2021 at 11am.
We are proud to announce the latest Overtone broadcast on BBC Radio 4; Afterlives: Zeena and Martin.
Afterlives is an intermittent series produced by Overtone Productions for BBC Radio 4, which aims to bring two people together who have a past connection that changed their individual lives drastically. The programme aims to remove the binary of good and bad, and look forward, rather than to the past, in this poignant series encompassing themes of strength and self-preservation; how vulnerability can become the birthplace of love, trust, intimacy, and courage.
Inspired in part by the #MeToo movement, Afterlives aims to move further and deeper than illuminating the issue, endeavouring to explore ways in which victims and those close to them can progress in healthy and joyous ways.
In Zeena and Martin, Afterlives brings together two people brought up by single dads after their mothers left the family: examining the legacy (of both pain and potential) and celebrating their fathers.
Zeena Moolla recently published the brilliant Everything I learnt about Motherhood from my Single Parent Dad , and can be found on the following platforms:
